A return ticket costs €25 for adults and €10 for children aged 4 to 12, and it is non-refundable. On the first four runs the bus also stops in Brera, at Via Fatebenefratelli 5, if someone has booked from there. For €8 more, the Easy Shopping Pass adds a Fashion Passport worth an extra 10% off at participating stores (not on items already discounted). Book on the outlet’s bus page. Centrale’s layout is in our Milano Centrale guide.
By train. Trenitalia sells a combined train and bus ticket to “Serravalle Outlet”. For Wednesday 7 October, the 8:25am regional train from Centrale to Arquata Scrivia, with a bus to the outlet, arrived at 10:24am for €12.60. It is cheaper than the shuttle but slower, and the times depend on the connecting bus.

Outlet shopping in Milan itself
If you would rather not leave the city, two outlet stores sell designer stock at discounted prices.
- DMAGMap is at Via Manzoni 44, inside the fashion district a few minutes from Montenapoleone (M3), and opens every day from 10am to 7:30pm. It is the easiest one to fit between full-price boutiques.
- Il SalvagenteMap, at Via Fratelli Bronzetti 16, east of the center, sells designer clothing and accessories. It opens Monday from 3pm to 7:30pm, Tuesday to Saturday from 10:15am to 7:30pm and Sunday from 11am to 7pm.
If you have a car and Armani is the label you want, the Armani OutletMap at Via Provinciale per Bregnano 13 in Vertemate con Minoprio, in the province of Como, is a single-brand outlet open every day from 10am to 7:30pm. For full-price boutiques, vintage shops and the sales dates, see our shopping in Milan guide.
Outlets on the rest of your trip
If Milan is one stop on a longer trip through Italy, these three are easier to reach from the next city than from Milan.
- Near Venice: Noventa di Piave Designer OutletMap, run by the same group as Serravalle, is 30 minutes from Venice. ATVO buses leave Piazzale Roma at 9:10am and 1:05pm without changes and come back at 4:10pm and 7:40pm, for €9.20 return. It opens Monday to Saturday 10am to 8pm and Sunday 9am to 8pm. Our Milan to Venice train guide covers the trip there.
- Near Bologna: Castel Guelfo The Style OutletsMap, sister outlet to Vicolungo, runs a free shuttle from Bologna’s central station (Via Pietramellara 41/43) on Sundays and holidays at 10:15am, back at 4:30pm, and a free daily shuttle from Castel San Pietro Terme station. See our Milan to Bologna guide.

Tax-free shopping: how US visitors get the VAT back
If you live outside the EU, Italian VAT (22%, included in the price) can be refunded on what you take home. The same rules apply at the Italian outlets as in Milan’s shops.
- Spend more than €70, VAT included, in one store in one transaction. Receipts from different shops cannot be added together.
- Ask for tax free at the till and show your passport. The shop issues an electronic invoice, either taking the VAT off on the spot or through a refund company that pays you later, minus its fee.
- Leave the EU with the goods by the end of the third month after the month you bought them.
- Have the invoice validated by customs at your last EU airport. If you fly home via Paris or Frankfurt, that is where you do it. Since 1 July 2026 customs can validate all your Italian tax-free invoices in one step.
VAT of 22% is about 18% of the shelf price, and the refund company keeps part of it, so ask in the shop what you will actually get back. Keep the goods in your hand luggage or easy to reach: customs can ask to see them, with your passport, before validating the invoice.
Outlet tours from Milan
The official shuttles above are the cheapest way to go. If you would rather book through a tour site with free cancellation, GetYourGuide sells a Serravalle round-trip bus and private outlet trips from Milan.
